Biography
Scholars were asked "What does health equity mean to you?"
To me, health equity means establishing a healthcare system that provides a fair and just opportunity for all people to live healthy lives. It involves recognizing and addressing the systemic obstacles that create disparities within healthcare access, particularly for minority and underserved communities. Achieving health equity requires implementing policies and removing barriers so that everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, gender, race, or religion, can attain their highest level of emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
