The exact date varies from year to year but decisions are usually sent mid-March.

Research Assistantship

Yes, as long as students remain in good academic standing and maintain a B average.

The program will assist in identifying opportunities; however, students should feel free to explore additional opportunities.

Yes, some Scholars apply for small loans to help offset the cost of living, books, and other financial responsibilities.

All MPH students are required to complete The MPH Practicum, which is a hands-on learning experience that is done with the agency or organization of the student’s choosing. Many students opt to complete their Practicum, which requires 145 hours, during the summer between the first and second year of the MPH program.

We want HES students to complete their Practicum at an organization that they are passionate about, regardless of the hosting organization’s ability to pay students. To support students’ Practicum choices, up to $5,000 is available to Scholars who take an unpaid or underpaid Practicum internship.
