Biography
Scholars were asked "What does health equity mean to you?"
Health equity means ensuring everyone has the resources, knowledge, and ability to achieve their highest level of physical, mental, and spiritual health. It involves addressing and removing obstacles such as poverty, discrimination, and their consequences, including limited access to quality education, safe jobs and environments, adequate housing, and healthcare. Health equity is about creating conditions where all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, can live healthy lives without significant obstacles and sacrifice.
