Biography
Scholars were asked "What does health equity mean to you?"
Health equity is a commitment to bettering the health and well-being of the entire population regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, or other factors. The goal is to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of a holistically healthier society. To achieve health equity it will requires us to advocate for people to have access to the resources, education, and health services necessary to make informed decisions about their health. I believe that health equity is fundamental to public health, as it is critical for advancing towards a more just and healthy society for all.
